Up early to volunteer @ MANNA

5:45 am Lemon juice & water
6 am – Small applesauce w/out sugar
7 am – Steel cut oats with Rice Dream and one slice GF/DF bread W/ Dandy Blend
10 a.m. Green smoothie I made this morning: pomegranate seeds blended with a little water and then strained; then added 2 kiwis, dandelion greens, & one soaked date in 2 cups cold, filtered water
11:30 am– Raw wrap from Awesome Foods. I spread hoomus on it and added lettuce, radishes, and several kinds of sprouts. Finished off with one last teff cookie I made last week and a slice of crystallized ginger with green chai tea. (On my way to acupuncture, so had an early lunch, so I would not snack on junk food. Brought a banana with me.
3 p.m.- Banana
Picked up a fresh loaf of my gluten free, dairy free bread from the young mom who started the gluten free bakery a few month ago. Ate the heel of the bread, because once I freeze it, the just-baked taste lessens. This is the best gluten-free bread I have ever eaten.
6:30 p.m. Small salad of lettuce, spinach, leeks & radishes. Stir fry consisting of delicata squash, kale, purple cabbage, red bell pepper & garlic over rice. The recipe will appear next week on my website:
8:30 p.m. organic apple
