Last summer, President Obama created a federal task force to “promote the health of honey bees and other pollinators.” The White House Pollinator Health Task Force missed its December deadline to come up with plan to save the bees, but is expected to make an announcement soon.
*TAKE ACTION: Nearly 4 million people from numerous groups have signed petitions asking the task force to ban bee-killing pesticides.
Please sign OCA’s petition by March 3 so your signature can be counted, too!*
OCA, along with Center for Food Safety, Friends of the Earth, Beyond Pesticides, Pesticide Action Network, the Natural Resources Defense Council and other groups will deliver a petition to the White House on March 4, demanding that the task force listen to scientists and beekeepers-not the pesticide companies-and choose to support a ban on bee-killing pesticides.

Unfortunately, there’s no indication that the President or his administration will do the right thing. The co-chair of the White House Pollinator Health Task Force is the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which has given the chemical industry every neonic it has asked for, including a new one the agency approved
