Last night’s snack – 1/2 cup egg nog (Now posting the evening’s snack on the next morning so I can post right after dinner.)
7 a.m. Lemon juice & warm water
7:30 a.m. – Going to work 2 the MANNA kitchen, so need a hearty breakfast. Decided to use my soup from last night with chickpeas, lentils & veggies with some rice snaps. The recipe has been posted on my website: www.menupause.info in the link Kitchen Nutrition with Recipes.
8 a.m. Decided to make one slice of toast before leaving for the bus. I put some Omega 3 oil on top. 10 a.m. Had a tangerine @ MANNA and one truffle someone brought & placed on the snack table. Delicious! I didn’t dare check the ingredients!
12:30 p.m. Went to lunch with Cyndi, the dietitian at MANNA. She & I have done some food demos at The Wellness Community. She treated me as a holiday gift. Very nice. I had a cup of their vegetarian asparagus soup and their 1/2 Thai salad with avocado in place of chicken. One of the few places that edamame bea ns are in the salad, along with peanuts and shredded Napa cabbage. Very tasty.
3:30 p.m. Cut open a pineapple I bought on Fri., but it was dry and tasteless. Had a few nuts and drank my water. My acupuncturist wants me to drink 6 glasses (at least), so I pour out the 48 oz. in the morning into 4-5 glasses and remind myself to drink during the day. This, is addition to any tea or smoothie, which I will make now as my real snack, since the pineapple is too dry to eat. Maybe I will add it to the smoothie.
4 p.m. Made my green smoothie with cold water and some of the less-than-sweet pineapple chunks, kiwi, raspberries & lettuce.
5:30 p.m. Had a big breakfast and lunch, so I just had a bowl of the soup I made last night with some tahini or rice snaps.
