Food for Thought and a Rhyme

A few weeks ago we went to the movies and then to the Edison, NJ Diner with my best friend Rhoda and her husband.  The place mats at the diner had a wonderful message with a Renoir painting on it. Here is the message, with the last line my addition:

Take time to THINK; it is the source of power.

Take time to WORK; it is the price of success.

Take time to PLAY; it is the secret of perpetual youth.

Take time to READ; it is the foundation of wisdom.

Take time to WORSHIP, it is the highway to reverence.

Take time to be FRIENDLY; it is the road to happiness.

Take time to LAUGH; it is the music of the soul.

Take time to DREAM; it is hitching your wagon to a star.

Take time to prepare REAL FOOD; it is the source of good health.

We eat food all day long and

Often it’s food that’s very wrong.

Too much (bad) fat

Too much salt

Too little fiber

Who’s at fault?

     Companies often hide

     What the boxes hold inside:

     Misleading labels that say “fat-free,”

With loads of sugar—just as bad, you see!

What we need is food that’s real.

Skip the chemicals–too easy to conceal.

     Eating overly-processed food —

     Playing with fire

     Diet-related diseases

     Grow higher & higher.

Real foods for breakfast

Fresh salad for lunch

More greens at dinner

& natural snacks to munch.

     Nothing more need I say.

Why not try Real Food today?
