This morning I put on my purple bamboo-organic cotton t-shirt to honor International Women’s Day. About 9:30 am, my husband called to ask if I wanted to help him drive today, because he had many stops as a part-time employee for a commercial law firm.
The last stop was a small town in Northern Bucks County that looked like a movie set for a film from an earlier decade, say the 1950s. I popped into the Village Flowers & Gifts while my husband went across the street to knock on the door of the company he was investigating.
In the refrigerated case were roses, a couple of which were this beautiful shade of pale purple. I told the owner that today was International Women’s Day and the color purple is the theme color. I went to pay her the $2.00 for the rose but she refused because it was this special day. Here is a photo of that rose in a vase that also has tiny roses on the front. Picture Purple Perfect!
