On Earth Day last Saturday I attended an Earth Day Fair in Narberth, PA a borough near where we live. I received some free laundry liquid with the info below. Also, some emails on more organizations, so here is the follow up. There are quite a few, so scan the posting and pick one or two that you think are important enough to learn more or sign:

The Tap Water Project by UNICEF
Three students from the local high school are involved in this project. Basically, it is combating the problem of nearly one billion people who do not have access to clean water, which is essential for good health, ending hunger, and keep the kids educated instead of walking miles to fetch clean water.
The local website for this project is https://apps.facebook.com/uniceftapproject/. Thanks to Claire, Michela and Laura for being at the fair to tell me about this project.
Sun & Earth gave me a free bottle of laundry liquid. (I provided the bottle) at the Earth Day Fair. According to the literature I received, Sun & Earth is made for families, is a socially responsible company dedicated to deliver safer and better products for the past 25 years, and is environmentally friendly with no artificial colors, dyes, fragrances or perfumes….and is Kosher, which is like the seal of approval to Jewish patrons.
Their products include concentrated floor cleaner, all purpose cleaner, hypoallergenic hand soap, stain remover, 2X laundry detergent, and Xtra concentrated dishwashing liquid.
I believe they are available at most health food stores and major markets such as Wegman’s.

Don’t let Monsanto keep buying up Mother Earth. If we can reach out to countries like Germany, France and the Netherlands where opposition to Monsanto is growing, we can force a vote among the state of the European Patent Convention to stop the biotech giant in its tracks.
We have a chance to stop Monsanto from setting a dangerous precedent and help fix the European patent laws for good. Will you join us?
PETITION TO EPC MEMBER STATES: We urge you to call on the EPO Administrative Council to close the loopholes that allow corporations like Monsanto to patent plants and conventional breeding methods today.
Thanks,
— The folks at Watchdog.net

ACTION ALERT
46,498 and Counting. Will You Sign On?
TAKE ACTION: Tell the Bureau of Land Management: Don’t Frack Our Food and Farms!
You may not live in California, but chances are a lot of the food you buy, including organic produce, is grown there. California is the largest producer of food in the U.S. The state’s Mediterranean climate allows its 81,500 farms to grow over 450 different crops, some of which are exclusive to California. But what happens to our food if we frack and poison the groundwater that irrigates California’s farms?
In a move that a federal judge says violated environmental law, the U.S. Department of Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has already auctioned off 1,750 square miles of California’s public lands to oil companies intent on fracking California’s Monterey Shale, a geological formation that extends from northern California to Los Angeles. In May, the BLM plans to auction off even more of California’s farmland. We need California’s farms. And California farms need our support. If you’ve already signed on, please forward to friends and family!
TAKE ACTION: Tell the Bureau of Land Management: Don’t Frack Our Food and Farms!
Join OCA’s Fracking Facebook Rally!
Want to support California farmers and gardeners in their fight against fracking? The OCA is hosting a virtual rally on Facebook, on April 25, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. You don’t even have to leave home. Just pop on to the OCA Facebook page on next Thursday evening, and join in the discussion. Learn more about how fracking has already ruined the lives of farmers in Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Dakota, West Virginia and Colorado. And find out what you can do to stop fracking on California farmlands.
How bad is the Keystone Pipeline for our climate?
The tar sands oil flowing through the Keystone pipeline will emit as much global warming pollution as 51 coal fired power plants.
That’s why we’ve joined our leading allies and friends on a big, bold drive to deliver 1 million comments urging the Obama administration to reject the Keystone XL between today and Earth Day. Â
Add your name to the 1 million people speaking out against the Keystone XL Pipeline.
President Obama has said the right things on global warming, and taken some critical steps, such as doubling the fuel efficiency of cars. Thanks in part to his strong leadership, our consumption of oil has dropped over 10% since 2007.
But the progress that we are making would be undermined if we increase our dependence on oil from tar sands, which according to our report today would add 181 million tons of global warming pollution to our environment every year. Â
That’s more global warming pollution than all the pollution emitted by the entire state of New York!
Add your name now and let’s give President Obama 1 million reasons to reject the Keystone.
This last one below is one of my favorite organizations: the National Resource Defense Council

Dear Ellen Sue,
This Earth Day, please help protect the world’s oceans — and honor someone special at the same time! For just $20, you can help save marine wildlife in the name of a friend or family member with an NRDC Green Gift. Just last year, NRDC’s Members and online activists helped create a chain of underwater parks off the coast of California, one of the most ambitious ocean protection efforts in history. But the oceans we all love remain in grave danger from plastic garbage, oil spills, overfishing and dangerous military sonar. That’s why I’m asking you to give the gift of ocean protection in honor of someone you love on Earth Day. Every gift you give will help NRDC’s attorneys and scientists fight to protect the incredible web of ocean life found just off our shores. Thank you for joining thousands of others who are making a difference this Earth Day with NRDC Green Gifts. |
P.S. I think you can still order these gifts. As more petitions and organizations email me with important info on Mother Earth & saving the planet, I will pass that along. es
