Note: This is similar to a salad I posted a few months ago but simpler. And in summer I like my dishes to be super simple. The avocado is actually a fruit, adding a creamy texture to the salad, but feel free to omit.

4-5 organic lettuce leaves washed and dried, then torn into smaller pieces
1 cup organic strawberries washed, stems removed, and sliced
1/4 cup organic blackberries, washed and drained
1/4 avocado, sliced
1/8-1/4 cup sliced or slivered almonds
1-2 Tbl. oil (any: olive, walnut, macadamia, sesame)
1/4 cup orange juice
- Place washed greens, berries and sliced avocado in a serving bowl.
- Whisk oil and orange juice together and pour over salad. Toss.
- Serve chilledVariations: Omit avocado. Add cinnamon or cardamom to orange juice.
