Summer Showers Bring Summer Flowers

The heavy rains in June and in the last two days have brought a lushness to my neighborhood gardens. Here are some photos taken on a walk last week between the showers & storms.
I went early in the morning to the library and caught some of the bright  light & morning shadows that I hope you can detect.

I love Black-Eyed Susans.

The Crepe myrtles are in full bloom.

Not sure what these are, but “They sure are ‘purty'”!

I think these are hibiscus, but not sure. A rose is a rose…..

These flowers were nestled at the foot of a tree and there was still the early sun of morning on the stone, while the background was in shade.  I love flowers growing between stones, fences and any other place they can squeeze in their beauty.
