Still in the Swim @ 75!

Joan Waldbaum is a 75-year old competitive swimmer. In the July 20th, 2006 issue of The Jewish Exponent, she is featured on the front page, because she won four gold medals and one silver medal in the Maccabi Australia International Games held in Sydney from July 2nd-July 10th. I love what she said, which was quoted on page one in the beginning of the article. “I like to think that I could show young people that, just because you’re older, it doesn’t mean you’re dead…..I love it when 50 year olds say, ‘I want to be just like you.’”
