Note: I had planned to post pictures from the recent Philadelphia Flower Show for the first day of Spring, but to my pleasant surprise, there was no need to do so. On my first walk to the library two days ago, I found crocuses and the start of daffodils, and even a blossoming tree on my second walk with my neighbor. Outside our condo, the people in charge of the grounds planted petunias. So my poem is “peppered” with real flowers from outdoors!
The Miracle of Spring
The crocuses are blooming,
Earth is coming alive!
How nice of Mother Nature
To protect her “bloomin’ babies” to survive.
The winter snow and freezing rain
Cover the plants—-
Only to bloom again!
Spring is the perennial promise of Life
Moving in cycles, spherical.
While Fall is my favorite time of the year
I still love the spring, an endless miracle!
