Poem and Paintings for Ushering in Atlantic City Summer

Many people will be flocking to the seashore for Memorial Day. Where we live in the Philadelphia area, most people go to Atlantic City. Here is a poem by Stanley Fink and two paintings by Judy Ringold that express their love of the ocean and sand. If you do go, sit far enough away from others and please wear your mask!

Many thanks to my poet friend Stanley and my artist/painter friend Judy! You made my virtual celebration of Memorial Day and the seashore happen!  ellensue

Atlantic City Summer by Stanley Fink

Escape from

Urban uncertainty

To water

Source of life.

We come to play

In the soothing sand

Cool water and

Sunlit canopy.

We pay tribute to

Neptune’s power,

As we merge

In a joyous chorus

To Nature’s chorale

Perfect harmony.
