Snack from last night: One slice GF toast with jam and tea.
6:30 a.m. Lemon juice & water followed by a very small glass of green smoothie left from Sunday. Will make a new one today.
7:30 am– 1/2 cup fat free yogurt with one scoop of PP and a dash of maple syrup
9 a.m. organic apple
Note: My husband & I are going to Atlantic City (1 hr. away) to meet friends for dinner & stay overnight. Since we are going out for dinner and I am leaving my laptop at home, I will post one of my meals from the week-end after I post my lunch so you won’t miss a weekday meal posting.
Noon: Chunky Chili, which I made yesterday. The recipe will appear on my website: wwww.menupause.info in a day or so & will hopefully remind you. The basic ingredients are butternut squash, red chili beans and rice. Also, celery stuffed with tahini. I will have a big salad when we go out tonight.
Dinner from Sat., since I will not be home to post. – Tossed salad with radishes, spinach, lettuce, and feta cheese. Soup that I made over the weekend from split red lentils, celery, leeks and carrots which I pureed and added some spices.
Snack from Fri. or Sat.- dried fruit
Note: I made a Green Smoothie to take on the road: Purified water, Romaine lettuce, pineapple, mango and one date for sweetness.Â I know that these fruits are not in season, but I love mangoes and they were on sale (organic I think) and my mother-in-law did not want the fresh pineapple I had bought her and gave it back to me.
