It’s a Spring Thing! (plus a timely quote below my post)

The other day I posted two poems by my Zoom mates from Creative Writing on the end of winter and the beginning of spring. This week the prompt is on spring itself. Here is my poem for spring with my photos.

It’s a Spring Thing!

Mother Nature never fails
To be the wind behind our sails.

Think of yellow daffodils
Their sunny faces that give us thrills.

How ‘bout tulips’ many hues
To chase away the winter blues?

And azalea bushes in purple and pink
Cheering us up, no need to think.

Trees are starting to “bloom” in green,
Creating a canopy with a lovely scene.

Spring’s a welcome, lovely season.
Enjoy it now, whatever your reason!

I saw this pillow in a store a couple of years ago and couldn’t
resist capturing  it on my camera.

P.S. I receive quotes every day from “Loving Each Day.” This one is too timely not to post in full with source information:

It is a time when we human beings, as individuals and as a group, are becoming aware that not only do we have a fervent yearning for peace,
we also have the capability of making it happen. We can put our loving energy into declaring peace instead of war.

  1. Have a good Spring when Winter decides to
go into hibernation! I’m writing this as I look at the outside temperature of 28.4 with a
cold wind blowing through the trees.
Beautiful photos and salute to spring!
