Last night’s snack(s)- I ate an early dinner, so I had an early snack of 4 oz. of unsweetened applesauce and a later snack of tea and 3 small ginger snaps.

7 a.m.- Small PP smoothie with Rice Dream
9 a.m. – Made a new green smoothie: arugula, pea pod sprouts, mango & raspberry with one date for sweetness. Working in having more green and less fruit. Drank one small glass.
11 a.m. Did not have much of a breakfast so made an early lunch. First I made a nori wrap (seaweed used in sushi) with lettuce, sprouts and red bell pepper. I also made a miso soup with my veg. broth, tofu, carrots, shredded ginger and scallions. The mellow miso has a really smooth taste!

I ate one cup before I ran errands with rice snaps and finished the soup when I returned with one slice of GF/DF bread.

On my errands I went to a gift shop and bought a caramel candy for 25 cents a a piece of crystallized ginger (made with sugar). I mention this because I don’t want you to think I never eat  food that many Americans make as a regular part of their menu. My cravings are usually healthy, but occasionally I crave “comfort foods,” like most people.

4 p.m. Stopped at the GF bakery and purchased a pumpkin muffin for my Sat. “treat.” Ordered a chai tea with Rice Dream and sampled a smidgen of corn muffin. Also had 3 cherries when I visited my mother-in-law at the nursing home. She is 104!
5:30 p.m. Made corn tortillas with avocado, artichoke hearts, black beans, shredded lettuce, sprouts & grated carrots. or a couple of clementines, since I have not eaten much fruit today. Since I am not posting my menu until Monday, I wanted to note my snack on today’s posting.
