Sierra Club’s “Earth Day Every Day” Request

NOTE: I am posting two Earth Day Every Day articles back-to-back because I think they are too important to wait!

Sierra Club is alerting us to protect Mother Earth. Let’s do our part by contactingour representatives with thelink below. Thanx!

Explore. Enjoy. Protect.
Polluters and their allies are up to their same dirty tricks again. And this time it means not only huge cuts that threaten our clean air, water, climate, and public lands, but attempts to open up more pristine areas like the Arctic Refuge for drilling.

Proposed cuts mean more asthma attacks, heart attacks, and premature deaths from slashing basic enforcement, meaning dirtier air and water, all while forking over giant giveaways to corporate polluters.

When Trump and anti-environment radicals tried to make these cuts earlier this year, your calls and emails shut it down— protecting funding for the EPA, national parks, and clean air and water.[1]

Now let’s do it again. Tell your members of Congress to protect clean air, clean water, our shared public lands, and the climate.

With the Senate at an impasse over healthcare, it’s likely that we could see these bills moving this week. At the same time, the budget is moving through the House, where polluters’ allies tried to sneak in the Arctic drilling giveaways.

They think they can get away with it because no one is paying attention. You can show them how wrong they are.

Your emails have an impact. 92 percent of elected officials said that individual email messages from their constituents influence their decisions[2]so make sure you take the time to personalize your message!

Now is the time to contact your Representative and Senators. Send them a message now.

Thanks for everything you do to protect the environment,
