APRIL 22, 2022: Earth Day, Every Day (and more)

Photo of the puzzle my husband & I finished just last night in time for my April/Earth Day posting. The puzzle is entitled BIODIVERSITY *and is from: www.eeboo.com.

(This was an easy puzzle to build because of the diverse colors and shapes. I would say preteens and up would enjoy it. Fun & educational es)

In addition to EARTH DAY on April 22nd, we have today (April Fools Day), Good Friday/Easter/Passover/Ramadan (also starts today), National Poetry Month, and I am sure more than I can cover in my postings. However, I hope to post something every day that speaks to Earth Day, Every Day, if only a tag at the end of another post.

So for today, I will just leave you with the quote by recently deceased Edward O. Wilson, considered the “father of biodiversity” and also a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, as well as the world’s leading expert on ants. (Source: Back of the puzzle, also called Biodiversity.)

Here is the exact quote by Wilson that rims the edges of this circular (globe-shaped) puzzle:

This is the assembly of Life that took billions of years to evolve. It has eaten the storms — folded them into its genes — and created the world that created us. It holds the world steady.

*Biodiversity is a term used to describe the enormous variety of life on Earth. It can be used more specifically to refer to all of the species in one region or ecosystem. Biodiversity refers to every living thing, including plants, bacteria, animals, and humans. (Source: Google)
