National Women’s History Museum

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

I recently became a charter member of The National Women’s History Museum, which is still not ready for visitors. But I receive emails periodically & I thought this one was a good one to post in case someone in the D.C. area is interested. You can also go to their website: www.nwhm.org. On the website is a video of Meryl Streep, who is the spokesperson for the museum.

Victoria Botenko’s Award for Fruits I Love

Sunday, October 16th, 2011

Readers,

I just received this email from Victoria Boutenko about her book that I reviewed on October 3rd in REVIEWS. Congratulations, Victoria!

Dear Friends,

My children’s book “Fruits I Love” has just won a bronze medal in the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards! To celebrate, we decided to continue our two-for-one special. Green Smoothie Green Smoothie

From now on, each copy of this book will have a sticker of a bronze medal, depicting a mother and child reading and silhouetted by a full moon.

I feel inspired to write more books on health for children. Stay tuned!  Victoria
