Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd this year. One of the healthiest ways to celebrate is to plant your own garden or to buy locally grown organic produce and incorporate these foods into your daily menu.(See Health Flashes for a longer list of ideas.)

A recent article in Time Magazine pitted local produce against organic foods grown far away, with the idea that you should switch from organic to local foods. I think we can have both: locally grown, organic produce available from Farmers’ Markets (or your garden) and some supermarkets that feature local produce. Now that wasn’t so hard, was it, Time editors?
