Paris in the Fall

My kid brother Harry sent me this picture of the Seine River in Paris that he took at the end of Ootober when he was there with his family.
I posted the picture on Divorce-Dayz, but it’s too beautiful not to post here. I even made it my screen saver! My brother is an opthalmologist and loves photography and he does have a “great eye!” The poem is the one I wrote when I took my one and only trip to Paris with my then-new husband in 2005. (Alan was stationed near PAris when he was i the service and fell in love with it.) THe poem is on the first page of my photo album on Paris and the poem is the same cadence as the song The Last Time I Saw Paris. Happy Thanksgiving!
The First Time I Saw Paris
By ellen sue 11/05
The first time I saw Paris
The sky was turning gray.
I saw the charm of each hotel
and people on their way.
The first time I saw Paris
Her trees were dressed for fall
And lights were twinkling on the Tower
Mr. Eiffel made it tall!
We walked along the same old streets
that Alan trod before.
The doors and buildings of the streets
unique with “French décor.”
The first time I saw Paris
The sky was turning gray.
No matter what the season,
I love Paris any way!

I couldn’t help but hear that famous song, “The Last Time I Saw Paris”.
