Women Who Serve: My Essay in Women’s Voices for Change

A few weeks ago womensvoicesforchange.org asked me to interview someone who serves meals to the needy on Thanksgiving. I was flattered that they gave me an assignment, because usually I send a query and possibly an article that they can accept or reject, the latter of which happens about half the time. I interviewed a woman who lives nearby and volunteers with her husband at St. John’s in Center City. It was a moving experience. Here is the link. Please feel free to comment on the post itself. WVFC keeps track of how many people respond.

One of the photos was not used by WVFC that I really like because it shows Judi Samuelwicz, the women I interviewed,  her compassionate personality. I think she looks “angelic.”

Happy Thanksgiving and don’t forget to remember what you are thankful for!

Just read the article and left a comment on their website. Terrific! I am so impressed they “requested” you to do the article.
